Task Forces and Activities

The Boston DH Consortium’s work is overseen by three task forces:

The Academic Task Force is exploring the creation of an Introduction to Digital Humanities seminar for faculty, based on the Introduction to DH courses several members have recently taught. Members have asked that this seminar be repeated and open to individuals who aren’t affiliated with participating institutions.  The Academic Task Force will also determine what other kinds of shared courses we will offer and on what content. Members include John Unsworth, Kurt Fendt, Patsy Baudoin, Lindsay Whitaker, Vika Zafrin, Ryan Cordell, and Carol Chiodo.

The Administrative Task Force will consider the details of shared credit, stipends, membership, internships, and creating a database of regional DH expertise and interests. Members have also asked this task force to consider creating a DH consultation / mentoring service or registry. David Wedaman, John Unsworth, and Jennifer Bartle are members. Jack Ammerman was nominated.

The Data / Infrastructure Task Force will address the challenge of hosting data sets and the digital products of DH work at BostonDH.org. Members include Ondine LeBlanc, Nicole Topich, Ian Rifkin, and Robert Chavez.
